Welcome to the Campus Health and VOICE website!
Campus Health is a research and development unit at the Health and Wellness Centre of The University of British Columbia’s Okanagan campus in Canada. The VOICE Study is a longitudinal, community-based action research program located within Campus Health.
The Campus Health and VOICE team is a multidisciplinary group that focuses on the creation and use of new knowledge for the immediate benefit of the Okanagan campus. We also hope that our work will be useful for other campuses and communities. We are grant funded through Interior Health/BC Ministry of Health, UBC, and numerous other partners and agencies who are interested in the health of young adults and the sustainability and wellbeing of communities.
Our interests are people, environments and policy at the intersection of health, sustainability and economics. The Campus Health and VOICE commitments are to conduct research relevant to community priorities as identified by the people who live, work and play in the community, and also, to increase the capacity of community members to conduct research and take action to improve their communities. Our team includes faculty, undergraduate and graduate students, staff, administrators, and business and community partners.
We invite you to work with us if you would like to learn more about healthy and sustainable campus development, or if there is a health-related issue at Okanagan campus that you would like to work on together.
Thank you for visiting our site. Please feel free to visit our VOICE Laboratory at the University Centre #337.
We appreciate hearing your ideas!
